Marine and Offshore Maintenance

Crews mobilised on board, with the scope sized for the docking or operating window.

About this service

What WF Service delivers in this discipline

WF Service supports shipyards and offshore operators with crews prepared for work on board. We carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, deck equipment, piping, structures and auxiliary machinery.

Work on board has constraints of its own: the docking window, area availability, cargo movements, permit-to-work procedures and coexistence with other work fronts. Our planning takes those conditions into account from the proposal onwards, sizing crew, tooling and execution sequence for the time actually available.

Where a component needs workshop attention, it is landed, recovered and returned to the vessel tested. Combining on-board service with workshop capability keeps the vessel from waiting on third parties.

Scope of work

  • Maintenance of steering gear and rudder systems
  • Overhaul of winches, windlasses and capstans
  • Maintenance of davits and lifting systems
  • Work on cargo, fire and general service pumps
  • Maintenance of on-board hydraulic systems
  • Replacement and repair of shipboard piping
  • Welding and boilermaking on board
  • Landing, workshop recovery and reinstallation
  • Operational testing and technical handover with the crew
